Guitarsandgardens.com Martin R-18 Acoustic Guitar Vintage 1933

This is a Martin R-18 acoustic guitar, year of production 1933. This was an early Jazz archtop with a low production run of 1,928 between 1933-1942. It has an extremely comfortable V neck, smaller body size similar to a 00, solid mahogany construction with a spruce top. As you can see by the pics, she is a well-worn beauty, probably spent some time on the back of a pickup during the depression.

This particular guitar was sold to a bloke in the UK last year through our Guitarsandgardens.com ebay store.
I heard from him after the guitar was delivered, he was a real happy camper. Check our listings for current inventory. Thanks for looking.

The guitar features individual string controls which allow each string to be assigned to a different amplifier. Two amplfiers are required to make use of the panning feature. Take a listen to the Van Halen 1984 album, in particular the Top Jimmy track to hear one in action.
